Now that Jim has made the statement that he is no longer with the track, I thought I would take the time to say thanks to Jim for all he has done for me as a photographer. Most of you know, I was the second camera in the infield last season and first night this season, and shot photos during features, so that Jim could go up and do the video. I have been shooting photos since high school and hate to admit how long I have been out of high school, but when I decided on doing some racing photography, it was Jim who helped me out. I think in 2004, him and I shot 50+ racing events, no easy task for a summer in mich and indiana. I also want to thank Jim for all he has done for Butler. While some may not like him, you can't take away what he has done for photography, the track and the way he has defended "his" Butler drivers while we were at other tracks.
In closing, I have taken over as the photographer, and at this point I don't have a preview website, but I have photos in the photostand. I may get the website for looking at photos, but right now I don't have it. I spent money on some new equipment, and bought an in-car camera to add to the video experience this year, and the next day was when Jim called to let me know he was taking his new job. I want to wish Jim good luck on his new job, and thank him for all the help again that he has given me and wouldn't be surprised if we see him in the pits a night or so in 2011. Thanks again Fish, Tom aka camera2
